The council collection
Caerphilly County Borough Council runs a bulky waste collection at £28 for up to three items, rising to £43 for six, which is the most they will take in one collection. If you can wait for a slot and you can get the items out to the kerb yourself, it is cheaper than we are and you should use it. Where it falls down is that it is kerbside only, there is a limit on items, and the refusal list is long - no building materials, no garden waste, no tyres, no paint, no car parts.

Getting to you
Blackwood town centre is pedestrianised in parts with timed access, so we work around that - usually early. Cefn Fforest and Pontllanfraith are straightforward. Oakdale has some long garden runs where a carry of thirty or forty metres is normal, which we allow for and do not charge extra for.
