The council collection
Caerphilly County Borough Council runs a bulky waste collection at £28 for up to three items, rising to £43 for six, which is the most they will take in one collection. If you can wait for a slot and you can get the items out to the kerb yourself, it is cheaper than we are and you should use it. Where it falls down is that it is kerbside only, there is a limit on items, and the refusal list is long - no building materials, no garden waste, no tyres, no paint, no car parts.

Getting to you
Fifteen minutes up the A469 for us. The centre of Ystrad Mynach is busy around the college and the hospital, so mid-morning or early afternoon is easiest. Hengoed and Maesycwmmer have steep terraced streets where parking close to the door is not always possible - we will carry, and it does not change the price.
