Gardens get away from people. A season of rain, a bad back, a house that has been empty for a few months – and suddenly it is a job nobody knows where to start with. We start with it.
We clear green waste, hedge and tree cuttings, brambles, turf, soil, old decking, rotten sheds, greenhouses, fence panels, broken paving, garden furniture, trampolines, hot tubs and the pile of bags behind the garage. If you want it cut back first, we can do that too.
What garden clearance costs
Send a photo of the garden and you will have a fixed price back, usually the same day. Stand far enough back to get the whole lot in.
| Load | Roughly | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Quarter load | A small garden tidy-up | Send a photo |
| Half load | A full garden strip or a hedge removal | Send a photo |
| Full load | A complete overgrown garden clearance | Send a photo |
| Shed dismantle and removal | Taken apart, base included | Send a photo |
Green waste is lighter than household waste, so you get more in a load for your money. Soil, turf and rubble are the exception – those are heavy, and they are priced by weight.
Why not just use the council green waste collection?
Use it if it works for you. Most councils in this area run a subscription garden waste service with a wheeled bin or sacks, and for a few bags of hedge cuttings every fortnight it is by far the cheapest option.
Where it stops working is the big clear-out. A subscription bin takes a fortnight to empty and holds almost nothing; it will not take turf, soil, decking, a shed, fence panels, paving or a trampoline; and if you have just taken out a hedge you will be filling that bin until Christmas. That is the job we are for.
Overgrown and empty properties
If you are selling, letting or have inherited a property with a garden that has not been touched in years, we can take it back to bare ground in a day. Brambles, self-seeded trees, knee-high grass, the lot. Estate agents will tell you what a jungle out the back does to viewings.
If you have got knotweed, do not let anybody – us included – cut it, pull it or take it away with general waste. It is classed as controlled waste, spreading it is an offence, and moving it in a normal load makes the problem worse and can land you in real trouble. If you think you have got it, send us a photo and we will tell you what we think and who to ring. It needs a specialist.
What happens to your garden waste
Green waste is one of the easiest materials to divert from landfill – it composts. We keep green waste separate from general waste in the van wherever the job allows, so it can go for composting rather than disposal. Timber, metal fencing, paving and soil are all separated and recycled too.
